The Airline's Carry-On Baggage Policy 

Each passenger on a Copa Airlines flight is allowed to carry one carry-on bag and one personal item for free. Carry-on baggage must remain in the passenger's overhead bin. To carry carry-on baggage and personal item into the airline's cabin, you must follow the requirements mentioned below: 

• Each carry-on bag does not exceed more than 46 inches (118 cm) (22*14*10 inches or 56*36*26 cm). This dimension also includes wheels and handles. 
• All passengers can carry hand luggage up to 10 kg (22 lbs) 
• Any carry-on baggage item that is brought to the gate in excess of the baggage policy that applies according to your ticket rules will be checked in as checked baggage. If the passenger does not pay the charges to transport the item, the airline is not responsible for the item. 
• Personal item includes a purse, laptop bag, backpack and wallet. The personal item must be stored under the passenger seat area. The dimension of the personal item does not exceed more than 36 inches (90 cm); (17*10*9 in or 43*25*22 cm). 
• If the personal item exceeds the allowed dimension, it will be sent to the cargo plane as checked baggage and charges will apply.

Other Special Items 

Strollers and other baby items (if traveling with a baby from 0 to 23 months, one of the following four items can be carried as a personal item on the flight without additional charges; 

• A baby seat, if the baby has the purchased seat 
• A small folding baby stroller
• Honeycomb bag that meets the allowed dimension 

Long strollers must be checked in at the counter so they can be transported as luggage in the airline baggage.

The Airline's Checked Baggage Allowance 

The checked baggage allowance depends on the class you book. Expect economy class, other classes allow you to carry checked baggage on the flight for free. To carry checked baggage in economy class, you have to pay additional charges. You can see the list of classes with the number of allowed baggage;

• Basic economy class, no checked baggage allowed 
• Classic Economy Class, allows you to carry a checked baggage of 23 kg 
• Full economy class, allows you to carry two checked bags of 23 kg 
• Business class, allows you to carry two pieces of luggage of 32 kg 
• Prefer members are allowed to carry two checked bags of 32 kg for free. 

Checked baggage must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in length and must not exceed 23 kg in weight. Copa Airlines passengers may add up to five bags to their reservation, charges will apply. 

How Much Does It Cost For Copa Airlines To Carry Overweight Luggage? 

For checked baggage weighing 24 to 32 kg (51 lbs- 70 lbs), you have to pay the charges which will be $100 and for baggage exceeding 33 kg to 45 kg (71 lbs- 100 lbs), you have to pay the charges which will be $200. Baggage weighing more than 45 kg is not allowed on the airline flight. 

How Much Does Copa Airlines Cost To Carry Oversized Luggage?

For luggage within 63-115 inches (159-294 cm), the airline applies a fee of $150. Luggage exceeding the size of more than 294 cm is not allowed on Copa Airlines flights.
